가벼운 백신 찾기 :: 속도 & 메모리 효율성 벤치마크 (106개 제품)

Raymond.cc에 올라온 106개 백신 및 보안 수트의 속도 & 메모리 효율성 벤치마크 결과입니다. 말이 106개지 그 많은 프로그램을 혼자서 한달 가까이 테스트 했다고 하니 근성 하나는 정말 존경할만하네요.. –_-;

V3 제품과 바이로봇, 바이러스 체이서, nProtect의 한국 백신도 목록에 있어 더욱 귀중한 자료 같습니다. 가벼운 백신 고를 때 참조하면 좋겠네요.. ^_^

-> 최신 백신 프로그램들은 일정 시간이 지나면 자동으로 메모리 최적화를 하기 때문에 아래 최대 메모리 사용량의 결과가 좀 더 실제 메모리 사용량을 반영합니다.

테스트 6 : 검사 성능 (휴리스틱 진단)

최대한 검출하기 어렵게 만들기 위해 Bifrost 트로잔을 Incognito로 암호화 했습니다. 각각의 백신에서 스캔 시 (Scan Time)와 파일 구동 시 (Run Time)의 결과를 비교했는데요. 스캔 시 암호화로 인한 다형성 구조를 띄어 마치 0day 공격처럼 만들었는데도 KV Anitivirus와 Prevx에서는 검출에 성공했네요. 아무튼 백신의 휴리스틱 성능을 테스트하기 위한 벤치마크이니 Run Time쪽의 결과를 좀 더 주의 깊게 보시면 되겠습니다.

결과적으로 외산 백신 중에는 BitDefender, Norton, Trend Micro 등이 방어에 성공했고 국내 백신들은 모두 실패했습니다. 

테스트 7 : 전체 스캔 시간

각각의 백신을 초기 환경설정에 맞춘 상태에서 13.23GB의 하드디스크를 전체 검사한 시간

총평

국산 백신의 경우 부팅 시간 테스트에서 모든 제품이 하위권에 위치했는데요. (특히 V3는 꼴찌에서 2번째.. ㅡㅡ;)

그래도 바이러스 체이서가 설치 크기, 메모리 사용량, 애플리케이션 실행 시간 테스트에서 좋은 성적을 거두며 상당히 가벼운 백신임을 증명한 것과 스캔 시간 테스트에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 V3의 선전은 꽤나 반갑습니다. 바이로봇과 nProtect는 딱히 언급할 가치가 없어 보이고요.. –_-

유명 외산 백신의 경우 전체적으로 고만고만한 성적을 보여 딱히 어떤 제품이 낫다고 콕 집어 말하기는 어렵지만 원저자인 Raymond는 가장 가벼운 제품으로 Avast를 손꼽았고 골고루 좋은 성능을 보여주며 Bifrost 트로잔 검출에도 성공한 Outpost 제품에도 좋은 평가를 해주고 있네요.
